Microsoft Onedrive and windows 10 on a Standard Hard Drive laptop?

Hi,
Am i right in saying that Microsoft OneDrive shouldnt be used on a windows 10 laptop without an SSD drive (but just an old hard drive)?
....because it would slow the laptop down too much.

Specially since this laptop only has 4GB of RAM

That should have no bearing on using One Drive. One Drive is just cloud storage so once files get placed in that directory on your pc, they will get backed up to the cloud.
