Please help!

I installed microsoft outlook by accident whilst installing software for my dads medion gps system. However i didn't want it so i uninstalled it but this deleted my email adress book from outlook express! I system restored to get the address book back but now everytime i click on an application windows installer comes up and when i go in microsoft outlook it wont load and comes up with error message 1635. Anyone help?

Try putting it back on and just leave it, it isn't a big program, you won't notice it being there, set something else as the defualt mail program.

Microsoft outlook and Microsoft Outlook express are 2 very different programs. If you unticked Ms Outlook it should have no effect on Outlook express. outlook express's address book is .wab. Microsoft Outlook can't read wab files.
You should have not system restored if you were after the address book. It's a .wab extension so if you did a simple search you would have found it.Also this works with its mail, its still there.it wasn't deleted. If you're after OE's mail it's in
C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USER\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{ADBF71AC-50F9-44FA-8136-700DB25869F3}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

But if you are after Microsoft outlook's mails, it's in
C:\Documents and Settings\YOU\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\outlook or
C:\Documents and Settings\YOU\Application Data\Microsoft\outlook
