Microsoft Picture IT/ Digitial Image Suite

Has anyone used either of these?
I have seen an older version of Microsoft Picture IT and I liked the things you could do with it (ie add borders to photos. make sheets of photos of different images, ect) and I want to purchase it- but while looking ran across digitial image suite plus by microsoft and the video piece caught my eye

Does anyone have any other photo/video editing/creating DVD's CD software they recommend?

i really like photoshop for editing images, but, if you don't know how to use it, basically, its useless

(google picasa is free, and very user friendly, you can google it to find the download page)
(gadda wonder if it will come up as the first result :P)
