I posted a thread a couple of days ago asking people if they were having an issues with Hotmail or Messenger, seems that either it was only me or it was a local issue.

So figured I would give it a while as these things usually sort themselves out. Well it seems that it hasn't.

Since Friday I have been completely unable to access Hotmail or get Messenger to log in

I was running Live messenger and upon clicking login (user and password correct) it attempts for about a minute beofre failing, clicking troubleshoot does its usual checks of DNS etc and everything has a green tick, checked microsofts service status and all is working fine apparantly.

I have since uninstalled live messenger and installed V7.5 which has exactly the same problems.

Hotmail just won't load up at all through any browser (firefox, I.E., Opera) doesnt give an error either, just tries to load but stays as a blank screen permanantly.

I've run AVG and got a clean bill of health, Prevx1 is doing its active scanning too.

Any ideas what might be the issue as I could really do with accessing my email account!
 
well i replied on your thread that it was working but today i haven't been able to log onto Messenger but, hotmail works.
can it be that MS i carrying out technical things or so ?

i will try to see if its still working if not i'll update
 
Thing is if it was Microsoft doing some maintenance then they would generally say so on the service status screen. Plus doubtful that they would be doing it for three days now.....
 
yeah you're right, but its so weird that you cant access hotmail or Live Messenger, did you refer to your ISP ?
 
not so far as i thought I would give it the weekend at least, just really trying to figure out if there is something else that might cause this issue.....
