I find Microsoft Word too helpful sometimes. Time and again I find myself in the sitution of 'I want to do this', and Word says 'ah, but WE think it would be better to do THIS!' And it can be tough to find a way out of it.
This time it is the setting of custom page sizes.
The page size that best suits me for this project is 7 X 10 inches. Even when I specify 'custom size' in 'page setup'/'page size', next time I look it has slipped to the standard B5 format 7.17 x 10.12.
I can live with this latter size if absolutely necessary, but is it so unreasonable to think I should be able to set a custom size and have the system simply accept it is as my will, my actual and true will, and a product of sound, logical, hominid reasoning?
I guess there IS a way out, there usually is - and someone has always been there before and found a way to wrench the upper hand from damned Microsoft.
Thanks
