Someone tell me this a well known MSWord problem with an easy solution:
An unwanted non-standard mark appears in a document. It is locked to the first character space half way down page 46 of a document. It attaches to the top a whatever character I type in that location, immediately I type the character (not visible on the blank page.) If I do repeated returns from the top of the page, as each successive line of text assumes the particular line location where the unwanted mark is anchored it attaches to the first character of the new line of text. The mark is therefore anchored to that position, the start of that particular line on that particular page.
If I create a new document by copying over the same text, the mark is transferred too, embedded in the new document.
However, it seems to be attached to this particular document only, because the unwanted mark does not appear on other textual documents of the same size.
The mark has the appearance of the cross of a 'T' that has 'teeter tottered', that is, 'see sawed' to the right - higher on left than right.
It appeared suddenly, out of the blue. I have never seen it, or anything like it, before.
Is this a well known Word flaw - is there a fix?
Thanks
