Ok well I have been researching/asking around for a long time now to get the parts right to my knowledge... I will list the parts I plan on using for my build for my mid/low-end gaming computer. And all remarks are welcomed. Let me know if something is over kill, needed and so forth.:P

- Gigabyte GA-M61PM-S2 Socket AM2 GeForce 6100 Mobo
- AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Windsor 2.0GHz Processor
- A-Data 1GB (2 x 512MB) 240-pin DDR2 800MHz Dual Channel Memory
- Evga 256-P2-N554-AX GeForce 7600GT KO GDDR3 256MB Video Card
- Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB 7200RPM Hard Drive
- LITE-ON Combo Drive IDE Model SOHC-5236V
- Sony 1.44MB Internal Floppy --- Floppies are Floppies :P
- Logitech MX518 Mouse
- LITE-ON SK-1788/BS 2-tone Keyboard
- Icemat Siberia Black Headset
- Clear Arcylic See Through Case
- Power Supply has not been fully determined.
I would guess I would need 500-600W suppy. I do not plan on running SLi anytime soon. And I don't want to spend more than $60-$70 on a PSU. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. BTW, all parts will be bought from Newegg.com. EDIT: PSU must have 1 16X PCI-E Plug.

Again, any recommendations or anything would be greatly appreciated as this is my first computer build. And would like the parts I purchase to be compatible and not be overkill. Thanks once again! :D

BTW! I'm sure this is nub question. But if I have on-board sound. Can I still buy a sound card for better quality sound if my mobo has a PCI slot?

If I can recommend, if you can spend a bit more on a video card, Id get a 7900gs, its not that much more than the 7600gt and should last you a bit more.

Go with Ceewi1's recommendations on the power supply :).

What is your price range? You might be able to fit a Core 2 Duo setup in there.

Next time use the edit button instead of double posting :)

Anyways, the Core 2 Duo 6300 will blow the X2 3800+ out of the water, and it only costs about $180 (last time i checked). If you have the money, it'd be a much better choice.

It's true the Core 2 Duo e6300 is much better than the X2 3800. When it comes to PC hardware, never pick favorites because that will keep you from getting the best performance for the price.

3800+ is good enough for my gaming I do. I do not game hardcore. So I rather save the 50 dollars and get something that would function 100x better than what i've had. Oh, and by the way. I don't like to overclock. so the 3800+ would suit me even better.

Ok guys, I think ive decide on the final build to buy. If ya'll can, tell me if its ok to be a low-mid end gaming machine. Not hardcore. If something should or u think something should be upgraded. Please give me input.
