migrating e-mail and internet files?

Hi all.

I am setting up my parent's new computer. Their old computer is a G5, their new computer is a PC running Linux Ubuntu.

Two things that are giving me trouble:

I need to migrate all of my dad's saved e-mail folders from Thunderbird on the Mac to the Thunderbird on the PC.

Also, he wants me to export all his "favorites/bookmarks" from Firefox to the new computer.

I searched a bunch online, but there are a lot of different methods and all seem vaguely confusing. Any help would be appreciated.

Scratch that. I figured out how to export the bookmarks. I only need to figure out how to save and export the e-mail files.

This will and easy. I don't have a mac though. this is for thunderbird and others.

Im not sure they are the same though.

Solved.

Had to download an import/export addon to Thunderbird.
