Hi, so I'm deciding between tow computers - the mac book pro and the ibm z61p. They're almost identical except for the screens which are relli different.

The ibm has these specs

Maximum Resolution 1920x1200
Description ATI Mobility FireGL V5200 (256mb)

The apple one has a glossy finish and has an ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 and a 1440 * 900 display

Here are the tech specs :Apple - MacBook Pro - Technical Specifications and Lenovo - ThinkPad Z61p (TopSeller Program) - United States. Which one do you think will have better graphics - for both videos and pictures.

Thanks
D

For photos and videos, a macbook pro, macs for the most part rule the world of video and photo stuff. And they are just really nice, they have a really nice screen on them as well.

So the apple screen will be nicer even though it has a lower resolution?

Also, which one has a better video card?

Well I am not saying it is nicer, but from personal experience the screen is nice on the macbook pro. Not really sure which gpu is better, my guess is the x1600 but don't really know anything about the fire gl. Ok here is a link to the fire gl on ati's site, so it looks likes its graphics made for notebooks while the x1600 is really a mid range gpu from a desktop modified for a notebook. I would still say the x1600 for performance but the fire gl may be better for your power consumption since it is made for notebooks.

It depends what you would be using them for. If it would most be for work and business use then the ibm z61p one is the one you should choose. If it is for home use and pictures and other stuff you might do at home then the mac book pro is the one to use.
