MiniDV Camera HELP! Going Crazy!

Ok so I am trying to get video from my miniDV camera to my computer...I jsut built a custom Intel core 2duo computer and put a seperate firewire card/hub into it jsut for this purpose...then today I go out and spend $35 on a damn teeny little 4 pin to 6 pin cord so that my miniDV camera can plug into my firewire! Grrrr


So basically my computer wont detect my camera and neither will moviemaker.


help needed

It's a JVC DVM70U ...ther edon't seem to be drivers/software for it either
