Im upgrading from 1gb to 2gb or ddr2 and i see stuff for like £40. its tempting to buy, being so cheap. Im afraid the quality will be poor though. is there a minimum i should spend?
there is not too much good or bad. yes there is small differences. mostly is conpadibility. i know some motherboards dont like some makers. but that is rare. *(but i may be wrong and will learn if i am wrong. but wait for some one else)
What brand are you seeing that interests you? and then what kind of mobo would you be putting it on... I'm sure people would suggest and let you know what works.
Usually the cheap stuff is fine, but usually you can also get some brands 'value' RAM for about the same price. I got a stick of kingston DDR2 for $35CAD back when RAM was still expensive.
