Minor help with Case Fansq

Hello.
I was cleaning out my case, and took the 2 fans from the rear of the case out, to clean. I set them down the way they were supposed to go back in but, they got bumped by my dogs and now I do not know which way they go in. They go in either way but, my question is, do the back case fans blow in or out?

Then is the side an intake fan? The reason I ask, there is a filter on the front of my case but, the inside was just DIRTIER than all. I just cleaned the inside back in December of 06. I am thinking my side case fan needs to blow out as well.
 
side case fan is usually blowing in because they are usually right on top of either your heatsink/CPU or your GPU. It helps in keepig your GPU cool as well as your heatsink/CPU.
