Missing Partitions

Hey guys and girls , got this computer with a 40 gig hd . partitioned it in to 3 partitions . Now I am not sure Exactly how. But the person "deleted" the 2 partitions . Now I can't seem to get them back . The system had XP pro . I had tryed Partition magic . but it wouldn't load at first , So I loaded it in DOS . And it didn't recognize anything but 14 gig . So I reformatted with fdisk. still only the 14 gig . loaded Win 98 ,and reloaded Partition magic and still only sees 14 gig ? Anyone know anyway to get back the other 26 gig? Or even to see it

theres a program called partition magic, that alot of people use, or you can try going into DOS and typing fdisk

You could try Device Manager --> Your Harddrive --> Properties --> Voulmes --> Populate ... does it show there?

Give it a low level format and it will be as good as new
