mix s-ata and ide

Hi, this may be a lame question, Q: i have a s-ata hd running vista 64 prem, could i add an ide hd, now that has xp on, but i would set that to slave.would that work mixing s-ata and ide ?

Yes.
You'd have to install a bootloader to dual boot.
I'm not familiar with Windows MBR to set dual boot, but you can if you Google around a bit.
If you don't want to mess with Windows MBR just install GRUB.
There's alot of documentation and help for both.
