Mixing ATI and Nvidia

Hi, I am getting a 3 screen setup (1 24" and 2 19":D) but there are no cheap Nvidia PCI cards. I already have a 6800. I will be getting a cheap PCI radeon 9250 but can I install both drivers? Should I just leave the radeon without drivers? I wont be playing games or anything on the radeon so does it even need drivers?
 
it *should* work fine, the drivers look for hardware ID's in the bios of each card so the drivers shouldn't interfere with each other.
