I have 4 GB of G.Skill DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) in my comp and I have 2x1GB of DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) of Corsair Ram I took out of my parents old junker desktop. (dont worry they let me :) )
Anyways... If I were to add the 2 more GB of RAM, bring different frequencies, would that cause any problems? And yes I have a 64 bit OS. Thanks!
 
It'd actually lower your performance and bring you no benefit

1. 32 bit operating systems have a limit of 4GB of RAM
2. The 2X1GB modules are a lower frequency, they would force your 2x2GB modules down to their frequency

You'd have 6GB of RAM.. at 667MHz instead of 800MHz, AND Windows could only see between 3GB and 4GB depending on a variety of factors (And each program can only use up to 2GB)

Without switching to a 64 bit OS the extra RAM would be not only useless but a performance decrease

ETA: completely blanked on you stating you had a 64 bit OS, an extra 2GB would probably not bring much benefit because most programs are 32 bit and thus still limited to 2GB, and the RAM would still be at 667MHz

Springy182 is correct even with a 64bit OS going from 4GB to 6GB won't make any differnce at all. Even though the system could use the RAM (as in see it) I can't think of anything off hand that could take up that much RAM other then AutoCad and Video Editing software. Daily use and games won't use that much RAM.
