.mkv to .m2ts converter

I need a program that will convert from .mkv to .m2ts so i can play the videos on my PS3. i am currently converting some to .ts but i've heard that t.s doesn't support 5.1 surround?


does anyone know if .ts takes 5.1 surround? if so then i dont need a .m2ts converter

well i converted to .ts with 5.1 AC3 surround with Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate but my reciever doesn't pick it up at 5.1 as it does with the .m2ts files I have.

Anyone know what could be wrong? Should I try mp2 audio codec or the pcm_s16le codec?

or does anyone know of another way to convert to HD with 5.1 sound
