i bought an external disk . . i want to see the icon in My Computer insted of using the programme Backup4all, i don't understand that concept! so id any one can help

when you plug it in, basically any version of windows you're likely to be using should have an icon pop up in the removable media section of My Computer

i use windows xp and i don't get any icon in my computer even in removable desk section!!!
i did right click on my computer, manage, disk management, and the the drive wasn't listed there!!!

can you access it at all? Xp should automatically detect it regardless assuming it's working

no i can't access it and the computer won't recognize it!!!!!

I'd try it on another computer, if it still doesn't work then I'd say the drive is bad

i've just bought it!! and you can see through this link that i'm not the only one having this problem !
