Mobo and CPU compatability....

Hi guys, quick question, have ordered: -

E8400 CPU

&

Gigabyte S775 Intel P45 DDR2 Mobo

Can someone confirm or otherwise that these are compatible, someone has just told me they might not be despite the Gigabyte website saying they are?!

Yes, it would appear as though those are compatible, the Socket on the Processor is LGA 775, and so is the one on the Motherboard. Also, the description says, "Based on the Intel P45 chipset, GA-EP45-DS3R delivers a record setting 1600MHz front side bus for the latest Intel Core 2 multi-core processors, including 45nm CPUs." The Intel E8400 uses 45nm tech.
