The only way you can install DDR2 memory is on a board that has two sets of dimm slots. One for DDR 184pin type memory and the other set for the DDR2 240pin dimm slots. Only one type can be used to run the system with. What make and model is the board there? The specifications on that board will specify the types and speeds of memory that can be run on it.
