mobo compatabilaty

Hi, I have a Soltek SL-K8TPro-939 running with an Athlon64 3500+. I was wondering if I can run a Athlon 64 X2 4400+. I cant find any help anywhere else so any help from someone here would be great, thanks.

Links didn't work, but it should work just fine. Most any 939 mobo's are X2 compatable. Worst case, you might need to upgrade the bios.

ok, thats good and bad. i have no floppy drive so i cant flash my bios and i hate to get one to just use once. thanks

I don't know how that board works, but some have software that'll update though windows. I beleive my Asus and Abit both had something like that...
