his mobo book doesnt have a beep code section to tell me what it is could someone please help. other than the beeping everything seems to work fine the os is detecting all the ram (2gb) thanks for your help:confused:

sometimes computers will get angry if you have a key that is stuck down, try unplugging the keyboard and then boot up, see if it quits. If that doesn't solve the problem, see if the constant beep is meant as an error code, it should say somewhere in the mother board documentation or on their website. Although a constant beep is kind of an awk error code usually an error code is a series of beeps.

Does your friend run a PS2 or usb keyboard? Once Windows loads the usb driver support is inplace. That's one of the few things to explain the constant keyboard missing error being heard.

he has a ps2 keyboard, there is no beep error code in the mobo book
the sticky key on the keyboard sounds plausable because he tells me that it doesnt beep all the time ,thanks for all your help i will try another keyboard on his pc.

Take a look at the present keyboard to see if it is loaded up with dust and debris. If any of them pressed doesn't spring back up the small spring for the key may have let go. Sometimes you can blast a little air from a can and free up any keys that stick.

If there is a sticky key on the keyboard it probably won't boot. It will give you a keyboard error from the BIOS and ask you to press F1 to continue. Try it if you want, but I doubt it will work.
