Yes. Lately, Intel and AMD processors use different connectors, therefore you would need to get a board that specifically supports the processor you wish to purchase.
I've only seen a select few motherboard that support both an intel socket and an AMD socket, your however isnt one of those. So if you get an AMD you'll need to change your motherboard.
Yes indeed (i think i caught you on something like that a little while back) but that's support for AMD/Intel on a board ... rather than a socket which is what is inferred from post #2
