mobo? or card

ok well today i picked up a computer for 60 bucks its an alright, one of the first dual cpus P3 X 2 lol well it was in a sweet case so i decided to move my components into it. Problem? well i was seating some PCI cards and some cards did not go completely in we're talking about 1/4 of the gold connections showing. is this normal? i didnt check before moved cases but is this alright as long as most of the card is in? thanks in advance
 
Not good, sounds like you have some of the PCI cards in the wrong slots....? What kind of board is it? Or maybe post a link of it
 
A quarter of the connectors showing? :confused: obviously there is something wrong. Are you are plugging it in the correct port? There is only a handful of different ports. There is AGP and PCI-E for graphics. Then PCI, PCI-1X and ISA for peripherals.
 
nah nah thats not what i meant to say that the PCI card does not go in all the way but i figured it out that the mobo was crooked or set crooked so the further down you got in PCI slots the less they went in the slots but i booted it up and everything worked fine so i guess it doesnt make a difference
