ok guys, i encountered another prob. so see if u can help me here, cuz i reli need my computer to do my hw and stuff.

i got a Gigabyte GA-K8NS mobo. with 2x 512 pqi DDR 400 (PC3200) dual channel ram and a AMD Sempron 2600+ currently running at 1.6ghz.

soo... i tried to overclock my cpu by 400mhz, and when i restarted it, it shows me the bios screen and says:
"If system hand on over clock

Please press Delete Key before over clock and into CMOS setup"

im pretty sure that is normal... but get this, the screen just freezes right there. i am UNABLE to use the delete function and go into BIOS. seems like my keyboard just stops working when it gets there. ummm.... it just freezes and it stays there, no sign of processing or loading or anything@!!!!

sooo can you PLEASE help me out?? if u need anymore information, just ask. and please do not reply and say go look at the QUESTIONS STICKY. just ask me and ill tell u, thats probably all that happened. i provided it step by step...

PLEASE HELP ME OUTTTT. ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Reset the BIOS, That will remove your overclock but the computer will work. Just pop the battery or Flip the jumper(If you mobo has a jumper). ;)

unplug your computer and pop the battery for 30 seconds and pop the battery back in then plug it in....

just giving the "by the book" answer :P and you didnt tell him to unplug it.... sometimes it doesnt work unless you unplug it :P

ps2. LOL thanks guys. i figured out how to work it without resetting anything i just switched the keyboard with another one then when i unplugged the power cable and turned off the PSU switch, then pluged everything back in. and then turned it and and as soon as i saw the blue light on my monitor, i started pressing the delete button (how i get into bios) furiously. and yea. i did it. LOL
