MOBO Recommendations

Hi there. I'm about to get a 'AMD Athlon 64 4000+' right, but I don't know which motherboard should go with it. The AMD site made a few suggestions; can someone tell me which one I should go for?

The companies AMD suggested are: Abit, Asus, ECS, EPoX, Gigabyte, MSI, Shuttle, Soltek, WinFast. Thanks.

Also if I have a little problem concerning PCI cards with my mainboard, I can highly recommend the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum. I haven't found anyone else with the same problem as me, so I guess it's a individual case. ;)

The board is fast, stable and has got a lot of useful extras, too much to specify them all. Just visit the MSI homepage or some online shops and get some information over the mainboard. :)

p.s.: I forgot to mention that it's a nForce3 board. I didn't want to extra buy a new graphics card because of the missing AGP-slot on boards with nForce4 chipsets, so I decided for one of the best nForce3-boards. ^^

Abit AN8 all the way man ;) It's what I use. I just have the regular one but they just came out with the SLI version if you want that... Great mobo

I've heard both good and bad things about DFI. One of my friends is dead set on getting one, but I've also heard they are cheaply made. Never really used one, so I can't say for sure...

And ive heard both good and bad things about Abit .... (et al). :P Ironically enough ... the chief designer of the DFI Lanparty team used to work for Abit.... (not to mention the capacitor issue but thats fluke kinda)

Id go for the MSI board for features, DFI for the raw overclockability (assuming of course you think you can overclock past the capacity of the MSI board)
