MoBo shopping help

Yeah, I know, not another "waht mobo should I get?" but yes, it is.
I'm just finishing my new gaming comp and I'll be running AMD so I've had my sights set on some gigabyte mobos....however I've been reading about 'em and I guess thier BIOs (amoung other things) suck....so I need a lil help with you guys' experience. lemmie know 'bout you experiences with gigabyte or other brands.
I'm hoping to stay below $70...I know its low for a gaming mobo...but I don't have a job ;)

Any help would be greatly appreciated
 
my last system was intel, then i switched to amd on the old 939 socket, i used dfi lanparty board and loved it..

what socket are u goin with, 939 or the new am2?
i say stick with asus with the new am2's.. if 939, i say dfi w/ nforce4
