Mobo specs

I bought the m7470n hp computer and need a new mobo for it. Need it for a new graphics card. I realized that thers one of those black cylender things comming out of the board right beside the pci e slot so i can put any decent graphics card ther cuz that gets in the way. Im looking for a board myselfe but i dont really know alot of about processor sizes and all the other components.
 
Are you sure that capacitor by the DIMM slots would block a video card? They should all have some clearance over it.
 
It sounds like one of the caps is simply leaned over towards the PCI-E slot and not standing up straight like it normally would be. Or the assembler didn't push it down into the board far enough and cut the leads too long.
