Modding my case....for watercooling

I have a problem, I need to fit in the black ice extrme 2 rad in my case (its the smallest one i can get for my needs) but i have no room. none at the fron as there are hdd slots and floppy slots (can be cut away but no way of gettin holes in front for fans) and no space at top coz my ultra x PSU is there and then its like 10 cm free n then my DVD rw, so cant put it at the top. what im thinking i might have to do is:

1) put the rad on the bottom of my case!, cut a hole, get some grills n then put rad n then fans drawin air in though the rad...might have to raise case about 1cm off ground tho.

2) tricky one, only if above dont work, cut spare hdd slots at fron away with saw, put my psu there, with fan facing front (coz there are some holes in case at bottom but they dont go up far enough for a rad to go there) and bring my power cable into the case, to the front bottom where the PSU is and then put my rad at the top. As is said this is a hard way round but if 1) dont work this might.

PLZ post help/ideas/suggestions/ANYTHING to help, especially for 1)

Thanks

personally i would consider getting a much larger case. you might want to look at hooking some of you setup on the outside of your case if you can deal with how it looks.

naa cant afford £330 for watercooling, £70 for RAM and another £80 odd for a case, i had another idea as i went to sleep last night. I could move my dvd drive down a bay, so its got space at the top for a rad........but what tools can i use to get a nice finish, i mean i can get saws n things but after sawing wont the paint around the edge be all scratched?, its metalic black but i doubt i can find the same anywhere else.

Hmm I'd go with a much bigger case like that other guy said. But since its a hassel i wouldn't go with rasing the case and putting a fan on the bottom one cm is not alot of space and will create a vaccume under your case and will attaract alot of dust and crap to your radiator since it is on the bottom. But hey warm air rises so atleast youll get cooler air on the bottom

thats a good point!. well iv moved my dvd to the bottom bay so i now have room for the rad at the top. this does mean that i have to cut a big hole on the top of my case(prefered bottom incase i mess up and ruin the looks) but at lease now i have a "normal" place to put it. the other problem i have is with attaching my waterblock to my ati x800xt, if u have an x800 or even an ati, plz go to the desktop computer forum area and read my prob. (basicly, i dont know if the waterblock fits my card/and how to remove heatsink/fan ect)

first of, what case do have? do you intend to cool GPU and NB as well?post a pic of the inside of your case, this things are important so you would know the route of your loop:)

well, how do u post pics?lol i have no idea how to do it in this forum. Im cooling my GPU with a 80w peltier, my chipset and my cpu, and im getting a 226w peltier for cpu later but not yet. the thing is, its all ready to be orderd but i dunno if my ati x800xt card can be fitted with a waterblock! its not got the usual holes (i dont think) but at the back its like a diagnal metal strip with 3 screws, heres a link to what is looks like : http://techreport.com/reviews/2004q2/radeon-x800/card-x800xt-rear.jpg

ok, did that, this is inside my case:

PS. IGNORE THE COMMENTS, THEY WERE FOR SOMEONE I WAS EMAILING..........(IM NOW PUTTING THE RAD ON THE TOP OF THE CASE)

Top of the case would be a good choice, so your loop would run like Reservoir(optional)-Pump-Rad-Cpu-Nb-VC-Tline(optional, to have more space). Prolly it will occupy 2x 5.25bay but with a small case its the best place to put.:)
