Modem connection problems after storm

I believe the house was hit with lightning last week and it may have fried my modem (motorola 2210) I had solid green power and dsl lights but no internet or ethernet lights. I ordered a replacement and still had the 2 solid green lights but now had a solid red internet light. Also the installation cd would not be able to complete configuration. After trying to tshoot it and much time with tech support (att) I tried this process on 2 different cpus with 2 diff os (xp and vista) I realized that the computers were not recognizing the modem at all. No status light in the back of the xp and the vista would flash on and off every second or so. I noticed that my LAC would also flash enabled and cable unplugged. ATT send me a new modem saying it was a bad modem but now I have a new model with the old problem. Any ideas? I'm going to take it to a different house to see if I fried my cards but other than that IDK

Try replacing all your dsl filters in case the storm knocked them out too. If the filtes aren't operating corretly, that could stop you from receiving dsl signal. Also its possible the storm knocked out your lan cards if the computers were connected at the time of the storm. Try a new lan card.
