Modem Problem

I have an internal modem, and i have no idea what make it is and there is nothing on the pcb to give any indication as to what it might. With it installed, i have an error in the device manager beside the simple communication device. It would be safe to say that this is the modem as it wasnt there the time i sstarted my pc up just before i installed the modem. It says it is looking for suitable drivers but cant find any. how would i find out what drivers i would need for it?

Did it come with your computer? When you look at the device details does it give you any clues there?

When it's searching for the driver, do you allow it to go online and search for it? This is one of the problems I have with my older sound cards too. I dont know what brand it is, but I let it try to find it online and it'll find it eventually. See if this is an option for you.
