I have a gateway M-6308.
http://support.gateway.com/s/Mobile/2007/Tempest/2905980R/2905980Rsp2.shtml
Here is a few things I would like to do with it.
#1)Upgrade the GPU/Vid card.Idk if its intergrated or not.
#2)Get a screen that can handle 1080P or beter.
#3)upgrade the RAM,I know it should be easy. But gateway says 2GB max.
And when I found the specs on the MOBO,it says 4GB.
#4)Upgrade the cpu fan, whats a good site that has alot for laptops?
#5)upgrade the CPU.
#6)get a 7.1 or 8.1 sound card.How would I make one external?
Will other MOBOs fit in my laptop or am I stuck with one?
I feel kinda silly asking. But I never did much with laptops.
I know some of you will probaby tell me to just get a beter laptop or a tower.
But I want to have some fun and idc if I endup spending a lil more.

its not going to have a screen upgrade available, thats just that.

GPU is integrated into the motherboard. Unable to be upgraded.

CPU could theoretically be upgraded to a C2D or C2Q, assuming BIOS support, but it would really be cheaper to buy a new laptop.

CPU fan is the same across teh whole lineup, but you would be able to put a cooler pad under it to force feed air into it.

2GB is the max for the Chipset. you could put 4GB into it, but it would only read 2GB.

You could get an express card soundcard, but your integrated would probably do what you want.

JUST BUY A NEW LAPTOP!
Half of those thing arent upgradable anyway
Why would you spend all the money and time on somthing like that?
