ok so i was going to go with CORSAIR CXM series CX430M powers supply but i am confused on weather i would really need it i guess it is not a full modular. i have sceen CORSAIR CX series CX430 and i dont understand the difference between the cables.

here is my build

ASRock FM2A88X Extreme4+ FM2+ / FM2 AMD A88X

radeon r7 240 or 250

lg blu ray burner

samsung 500db ssd

On the M you can add/remove some of the cabling such as additional SATA or Molex connectors that you do/don't need. It makes it a lot easier to tidy up your build and cable manage just the wires you have in use.

Although I think the 430M is 'semi modular' as the base 24 pin connector + 8 pin CPU EPS don't remove from the unit.

the power supply does not say which ones are modular. i dont see why i need a floppy connector, and i dont understand Peripheral connectors are for. these a 3 6 pin connectors and 1 8 pin connector.

The cx430m has a nonmodular 24pin motherboard connector and an 8pin cpu connector. The rest is as follows.

1 - floppy connector - floppies aren't used anymore
3 - 4pin molex
1 - 6pin pciexpress power connector for video card
4 - Sata connectors
