moniter and dvi to vga converter

i have to questioer ns i have an old style huge moniter but i was wondering whether it would work with new style grapihcs cards for instance the ati 4000 sereis.

also i would obvously need a dvi to vga converter but how to they work do you simply just plug them in and they work?

yup it's that easy. just plug it in and turn the computer on.

yup, shouldn't be a problem as long as the monitor has a vga port.
