Moniter Quesiton

i want to hook up another moniter and only have the one input on the back and was wondering could i get another moniter jack added? to my computer and if i can does anyone know a rough estimate to get one added?i got a HP PAVILION AB6200N could i get another input added on mine?

ALl you need is what they call is a dongle. Either DVI or VGA dongle. and you can have 2 monitors hooked up.

so with this cable i was watching videos on youtube of dual moniters hooked up and i seen this one video of a guy that had a pictures and dragged it accross to the other moniter can i do this with this cable?

yes the cable gives you dual monitors. Which will allow you to extend your desktop to the other monitor .

Surely a splitter would just show the same image on both screens? (as it is only coming from one DVI/VGA port, which will only output one image).

You need a graphics card that has 2 separate DVI or VGA ports, or a PCI graphics card to display the image on the second monitor or something.

I believe the splitter won't do what you require.
