hey i was wondering if anyone knows of any cable or adapter that can project my display on my laptop onto a tv.

hm...that doesnt seem like it'll do the thing. how will the vable connect to the tv? i've never seen those output from a tv.

S-Video? That could connect to a TV if it's a S-Video. (well TVs with a S-Video, but I think you can get a S-Video to RCA adapter)

yea i checked my computer at dell.com and it is a s-video output. can anyone tell me wat cable i need to get then? maybe give me a link or something.

Thoes that TV you want to plug it to have a S-Video input. If so you'll just need something like this

If it only has a RCA, you'll need something to convert S-Video to RCA (google search came up with this and this, you get the ideal.

i was thinking of something along the lines of the last one...which is the s-video into the three a/v cable. is there anywhere out there that i can get that? like bestbuy or something?

Then all you need is a a/v cable

the S-Video is video only, so not the three a/v, the one, video one, sound is an other story.
You can get 3.5mm Stereo jacks (like headphone plugs) to a/v, and get audio a/v cables to plug to the TV. Here's an adapter and here's a/v sound cable a/v sound cable.

Remember, the yellow a/v is the video. The red a/v is the right speaker (so sound), the white is the left speaker.
