Monitor and VGA

Hi.
My monitor has 1 DVI and my VGA has dual DVI. Should I connect just one DVI? Or how should I do it?

Also, for my computer, I don't use FDD. Should I still connect power switch on the motherboard for unused components?

Thank you/.

...

What I mean is should I connect the power cable on the motherboard, (i.e. FDD) even though I don't use that component?
