Monitor Cable Broken

Ok So The Cable That Comes Out Of The Back Of The Monitor And Goes Into The Back Of The PC Has One Of The Pins Broken. Is There Anyway To Replace That? Without Replacing The Monitor?

This Is The Cable Im Talking About...One Of The Pins Got Messed Up...

you should be able to buy the connector from your local electronics store, there are plenty to choose from... it all depends on whether you can be bothered to solder all of the wires into the right pins

so the thing comes out of the back of the monitor??????
i thought it was stuck in there and you had to buy a new monitor....

It depends on how the pin is broken. Can you post a pic of the connector?

I had a monitor a while back where a pin broke off, and the monitor still worked just fine. It really depends on which pin is broken... If you look on google, you should be able to find a diagram of the pins...

But yeah, they can be replaced if needed. It shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Is the query because the monitor is not working or just because the pin is missing?

I'm guessing it's pin 9. Not used and not even there on many vga connectors.

we plugged it in and the monitor wouldnt come on....ill try it again tomorow though
