Now i did a little search and here is what i found that i liked

BenQ V2420H (LED) quick summery - 24 LCD Monitor, LED Backlight, Widescreen Full HD 1920x1080, 250cd/m2, 10000000:1 DCR, 5ms, VGA/DVI-D/HDMI Tilt
Price - £180/$280

LG W2486L (LED) quick summery - 24" LED Monitor Widescreen 1920x1080 250cd/m2 2000,000:1 2ms VGA/DVI/2xHDMI Tilt
Price - £223/$360

Samsung SyncMaster P2450H (TFT) quick summery - 24" Monitor 1920x1080 300cd/m2 70,000:1 2ms HDMI/DVI-D/VGA
Price - £218/$250

Now i am open to suggestion but here are the conditions it has to be 24" with HDMI AND DVI (DVI-D) it has to be 1920x1080 (or 1920x1200) i do not mind about others. price range anything below £240/$375. Please comment because i search online and the reviews give very mixed conclusions, some say they are bad and other say they are good,
Your opinions are valued by me since would give me more of a chance in buying a better monitor. thank you in advance

Thx, but my friend went for that Samsung, and he and me too wanted to compare the two, (i went for LG), unfortunately the first one broke after 2 hours, D, so you are perhaps right about the quality thing, but the second one that arrived is working for now, and is prety good, we compared them together the LG is a bit darker, but on the whole front very similar, by the way the price went up for the Samsung to £218/$350 so the products a very similar.
