monitor does not work!

hey y'all

my cousin got his computer send to him and when he set it up... everything is on except the monitor does not show the picture/screen.. but the montior's light is on.. we plugged every cord securing and nothin seem to work... anybody have this problem?!?!?!?

Does the computer boot up? Do you hear a beep?

check ur video card connection, or if the computer has a video card, also make sure the video card is not defective.

The monitor could be just old, or else you didn't plug the cords in
