Monitor Doesn't work after installing RAM

I tried installing RAM in the PC, realised my PC wouln't support this so took it out. Now my monitor wont load up. I've tried jumping tho board and taking the battery out, cleaning the RAM slots etc.
Motherboard is a MSI 865PE Neo2
Runs XP Home.

Remove power from the power plug from the power supply, remove the cmos battery, push the power button on the front of the case a few times to dishcharge the motherboard. Wait a few minutes and then insert the battery, plug the cord back into the power supply and then try booting up your system.
