monitor flickers to a yellow color sometimes?

i got a new video card, and a new monitor about a month ago.. so i'm not sure which is causing the problem, but my monitor will have a little 'yellow seizure' every now and then. pretty annoying. the other day it was a red/purple tint... but usually it's yellow.

i mean i can still see everything, but the overall appearance is affected. to the point where i've gotta start a thread about it on the ol' computer forum..

any ideas?

What card/monitor?

And when does this happen? If it does it while gaming, it could be overheating. It could be a bad cable/bent pin or something like that (esp. if it's a VGA cable). Any chance you could try the monitor on another comp/try another monitor on the comp you're having problems with?

Oh and have you tried your old card?

At my high school some of the monitors used to go pink if you moved them around and if you fiddled with the cable at the back or moved the monitor a bit it would go normal. I dunno if its the same sort of problem but it could be.
