Monitor goes black for a minute

Every time I boot up, everything is working. My express gate emssage pops up, BIOS, Windows XP loading screen, but after the loading screen I have to unplug my DVI cable from my gfx card and replug it in 10 seconds later. After doing that my monitor will show my login screen. I tried turning the monitor on and off, but it says "DISCONNECTED" or "NO INPUT SIGNAL".

Any help here?
