i am in the hunt to buy a new flatscreen/flat pannel monitor, and i was woundering about something i was told about widescreen monitors which i was liooking into (a 19" widescreen). a friend told me that widescreen monitors, which i want because i watch alot of movies and play alot of games on my comp, distors a game image? is this true?
 
I don't believe it would, unless the game you're playing doesn't have a setting for widescreen monitors.
 
not a whole lot... it shouldn't effect how well you play the game.
i know quake 4 supports widescreen, the game needs to support a widescreen resolution.
 
well is there ne way i could find out which games support it, i only play a few games, but i play them often, so i dont want the image distorted, i can even name the games if that helps at all
 
Yeah you can,go on the games,look under resolution settings in the video options,and see what are widescreen,they usually blatantly say (Widescreen) on them.Many games that have come out recently and the past little while support wide-screen and future games will too.
