Hi guys, sorry if there's been multiple threads on this issue before, just trying to get it sorted out.
Ive recently built up a new PC, not going to go into all the detail unless you require it but basically when looking at the monitor I can see faint horizontal lines moving up/down the screen (like when you record a monitor or tv and it comes out weird on the video), these lines are barely evident on the desktop due to its brightness however when playing games and when darker areas of the screen are shown then it is clearly evident. The monitor is a LCD edge10 24", using vga cable(have ordered HDMI to DVI), refresh rate is 60HZ and cant be made any higher, graphics card is a GTX465 (have tried a geforce9600 and it still was evident). I have tried using a couple of different monitors before hand and they both did the same. I have read up on this and I know it sounds fairly like interference however I cant see anything that would interfere with it on my desk, was also wondering whether the PSU may be the problem? (I have an OCUK 750w power supply however it is unbranded so dont know if its the problem? but have noticed the psu going from its usual 12 volts to 11volts in games).
Anyone got any ideas on the problem? Im kinda stumped, just going to try the HDMI to DVI cable and see if that makes any difference,
thanks, Joe
