Monitor NOT HD

So I recently brought a new Monitor from Tigerdirect...

I use the monitor to use my computer and play my Xbox 360 using the Microsoft VGA Cable. The only problem is that when I play games like GTA4 it looks nothing like HD, is there a way to fix this? And yes the resolution is set to 1920 x 1080 on my Xbox

BTW, It looks like far away things looks blurry and bad, hard to explain with words
 
I know on my Xbox 360, it has where the resolutions are, the actual size (i.e. 1280×720, 1920×1080) and the abbreviations (i.e. 720p and 1080p) both listed. Be sure to set it to 1080p instead of 1920×1080. I personally have noticed better quality that way, but it could just be my TV. (I'm using HDMI Btw)
