Monitor Problem

Hello,
I have a problem with my Sumsung SyncMaster 900 NF monitor, which is a graphic artists monitor. On a non specific times, very sudden, my monitor get weired colors, the dominate one is green - blue, so I can't read or browse the internet. I don't know what should I do to solve the problem. I have checked the VGA cabel (that connect to the computer with a old converter which is necessary). I don't think the cabel is the problem.
Another point I have to mention is that it's "going and come" problem which means that I open the computer at 8:00 AM and I can't really use it until 10:00 AM and then I can and then I can't.......

the monitor is probably on its way out.
i get a similar problem on my crt monitor, but the dominant color for me is red, but not too bad that i can't use it.

when i searched this i came across something about old solder joints for the color guns.
i then opened up a old small hp monitor i had lying around to see if i could maybe fix it myself, but i couldn't figure it out, maybe you can, but it may be best to replace such monitor.

also, make sure there are no magnetic fields around your monitor (like unshielded speakers).
