Monitor Problem =(

well, just to start things off; I suck with computers.

So this is my story! (and once again, sorry for the retardation)
- I understand that the monitor wire goes into the blue hookup located near the bottom of your back of your computer, but for some reason, my monitor wasn't working when I plugged it in there (probabaly my fault from something I can't remember) anywho, instead I decided to plug in the wire at the side/verticle blue hole, and it seemed to work. However, my video card (I think) is deciding to now work now, so I view my computer in the lowest resolution D:. Any idea what to do?

Thanks.

Right click on the mouse while pointing at the desktop, choose properties>settings and choose the resolution you want.

what you did, is you went from using your graphics card to using onboard video. i'm guessing you bought this computer in a store? what brand is it and is it new?

if this is a new computer, and that bottom VGA port (blue connector) is not displaying any image on your screen... you may need to return the computer. if this is not a new computer and it suddenly stopped working, you may need to buy a graphics card.

you may have a disc with drivers, which will allow you to use onboard video (the top vertical blue connector)... but if my computer had a graphics card i would want it working... especially if it was a new computer.

come back and tell us what computer your using... a brand and model would be realllly helpful right now.
