Monitor Question

I want to buy a monitor that I can also play Xbox on. Should I buy a monitor or a T.V.? Are there any significant differences in quality or anything else?

Monitors have better resolution for size and better quality picture, TVs are damn big and nice!!

You can get a 50" TV for about the same price as a high end monitor, or you can get a bog standard monitor for at the least a hundred quid (im guessing thats around $150-200), so the TV would be cheaper for size, but less quality, the monitor would be smaller, but higher resolution.

But remember, if your computer doesn't have decent video card(s) it won't be able to use the high resolution of the monitor or TV, and the xbox will look a hell of alot better on TV than monitor, because that is what it was designed for
