Monitor question.

If I plug a monitor into a computer, and it works fine (displays Windows, etc.) would I ever need to change anything in BIOS, for example, if I were to plug in another completely different monitor (like, could using another different monitor somehow mess up your display)? Thanks.

No, never seen that one. its more ascetically correct to use the same monitor though or at least the same size. the wallpaper will show up on both or use dual wall paper and stretch across both monitors and straight across both. ive tried in the past like maybe different sizes. to hard on the eyes. i also have a card that will run both. im running dual samsung 24" syncmasters.

No. Switching monitors will not require you to change any BIOS settings and it will not mess up your display. The only thing you might have to adjust to make it look good would be the screen resolution. Having the screen resolution set to the monitor's native resolution will result in the best picture.

Nope, as above, not needed. As long as it is a monitor you're pluggin into the GPU it's fine, no BIOS changes needed. You're fine.

Okay, thanks everyone. I was just wondering, because I recently reformatted a HDD which wasn't displaying windows properly (black screen of death) and it was showing up fine on one of my monitors. When I gave the PC back to these people, they told me the screen would still go black (like it did before the formatting). I figured maybe their monitor is bad, just wanted to make sure that I didn't have to change any settings for the monitor.
